I already have cable/satellite services is this service the same?
Yes, we get our content from the same/similar satellites that your local cable or satellite company get their service. By purchasing this content straight from the providers we are able to get much better pricing for complexes.
I don’t like the channel line-up, can I change it?
Yes, we offer a la carte pricing for channels. You can have as little or as much content as you feel is appropriate for your property.
How does the property wide channel work?
We use a custom PC that provides a cable TV output which we distribute throughout the property. The property would utilize the system to play pre-recorded vides or a revolving PowerPoint presentation. The ideas/options are endless.
Is there any special equipment needed to watch TV?
For our standard analog programming, no special equipment is needed. If the property has one of our digital systems installed, digital or HD content will require a convertor box or DVR box.
Do I need any special equipment to get on the Internet?
If your internet enabled device, laptop, desktop has wireless capabilities then no. If you own a desktop, you may need to purchase a wireless card or wireless USB device. Certain game consoles require an additional wireless adapter be purchased through the manufacture.
How fast is your service?
Our radios are set to 802.11b service which has a maximum service of 11 Mbit/. Individual speed may vary depending on traffic load and packet overhead.
Is static or public IPs available?
Yes, but the publically available address pool is dwindling fast. Requests for public IP addresses require case justification.
Why should we consider security cameras for our property?
Peace of mind. Just having security cameras has been proven an effective crime deterrent. In the event an issue arises, security footage is an invaluable investigative tool. From dealing with problem guests to criminal investigation, security service is an invaluable tool for your property and your residents.
Can we review security footage from our home office?
Yes, with an internet connection footage can be securely reviewed and download from anywhere in the world.
Can we limit who has access to our system?
Certainly, we have the ability to setup custom users and rights at the properties request. Website integration is available for marketing or resident portals.
